Flor de Cana 7 ans Blanco Reserva is a molasses rum produced by the only distillery in Nicaragua, founded in 1890 in Chichigalpa. Located at the foot of the San Cristobal volcano, this family distillery has been run by the same family for 5 generations. The sugar cane benefits from a mineral-rich soil.
The rum is distilled in columns and then aged for 7 years on site in American oak barrels that have previously contained bourbon. It is then carbon filtered to regain its crystal clear colour while retaining the aromas acquired during the ageing period.
It is a balanced and complex rum that can be enjoyed either neat or in a cocktail.
