It’s been a while since we have encountered a high-end Western Australian Cabernet that was tight and linear and well, Cabernet Sauvignon like. Devoid of that the slurry of cedar and dusty earth the nose is a mix of spicy black fruit with a touch of good green. The fruit is sourced from numerous vineyard blocks in and around the subregion of Wilyabrup. The attack is all Cabernet with resin dusted blackberry, black cherry fruit flecked with liquorice and floral notes. A long well-integrated finish.
