K Vintners began making wine from Cougar Hills in 2001. The 2006 vintage was sadly the last! Located in the far south of the Walla Walla Valley, the soils are a composite of loam, river rock, and gravel. A layer of volcanic ash, about 3 feet below the soil surface adds to the complexity of the site.
