Le Vieux Telegraphe Chateauneuf du Pape 'La Crau'

Product description

The most renowned cru of the Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, is synonymous with Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe. Given that they have spent more than a century living on the mysterious plateau known as "La Crau," the Brunier family is legendary in and of itself. The wines of Vieux Télégraphe evoke the idea of terroir in its purest form because they are a reflection of their dramatic climate, the rugged terrain that defines the soil, their full sun exposure at a higher altitude, the typicity of the varietals with an emphasis on Grenache, and of course the influence of their custodians, the Brunier family. La Crau is often regarded as Châteauneuf-du-greatest Pape's cru.

The "La Crau" has floral and cherry fruit on the nose with cedar, spice, licorice and minerals. The palate is tight and focused which opens up with time to stewed fruits and dark chocolate.
