Lemelson Pinot Gris Tikka's Run

Product description

Eric Lemelson's Great Pyrenees dog, Tikka, used to love patrolling the perimeter of his Pinot gris plantings. This wine is in her honour. Wascher Vineyard (a lower elevation site) and Chestnut Hill Vineyard are used to make Tikka's Run Pinot gris (a higher elevation site). Both sites have highly varied microclimates and soil types, resulting in unique growing circumstances and distinct wine qualities that combine extremely well.

Bright pear, lemon peel, melon, and white flower flavours lead to a lengthy, mineral, citrus-driven finish. A significant portion of this wine was barrel fermented, which serves to mellow out the wine's richness and balance it with its crisp, acidic backbone.
