Product description

Established in 1995, Lokoya is a collection of four distinct Cabernet Sauvignons from four of Napa Valley's most celebrated mountain appellations: Mount Veeder, Howell Mountain, Spring Mountain, and Diamond Mountain. These single-vineyard wines are 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented with native yeast, and bottled unfined and unfiltered, resulting in the purest expression of place. They are powerful wines that reflect the intense individuality of each mountain and this 2010 Mount Veeder is no exception.

Lokoya expresses something different; there is a tension to the wines, and immense structural expression balanced by layer upon layer of aromatic intensity and textural hedonism. Highly sought after by collectors, the wines of Lokoya can be enjoyed for decades to come. Lokoya's Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount Veeder displays defining characteristics of violets and blue fruit with powerful tannins and exceptional aging potential.

97 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Very deep garnet-black, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder slowly unfurls to reveal blackcurrant cordial, chocolate-covered cherries and black liquorice with nuances of unsmoked cigars, star anise, spice cake and chargrill. Full-bodied, the palate is full-on seductive with ripe, plush tannins and tons of concentrated, expressive black fruit preserves, finishing on a long-lingering liquorice note.
