Product description

This gorgeous wine from Bodegas Muga is a blend of 90% Viura and 10% Malvasia grapes fermented in new French oak barrels and aged for 3 months on the lees. Lovely yellow apple,

A straw-yellow color. It has a strikingly intense nose with floral aromas coming to the fore (white flowers, jasmine) together with notes of citrus fruit and apple peel. Complex and seductive. The entry on the palate is very supple with a sensation of ripeness. Interestingly though, on the rest of the palate a minerality and freshness comes through developing into a lively, crisp finish that also makes the wine a good partner for food.

93 Points - James Suckling     Mostly viura with some malvasia and white garnacha. Linear and firm texture to the medium-bodied palate with hints of vanilla and cream. Long finish. Barrel-fermented and aged shortly in wood. Beautiful now, but can age nicely.

92 Points - Vinous    Light yellow. Lively and sharply focused on the nose, displaying fresh citrus and orchard fruit scents and subtle vanilla and floral overtones. Shows sharp definition and spicy lift to the Meyer lemon, pear and honeysuckle flavors, which deepen through the midpalate. Closes long and juicy, with repeating florality and a dusty mineral flourish.
