Ogier Chateauneuf du Pape Safres

Product description

This cuvée derives from vines that have evolved on a safres soil, a type of compression of cool and draining fine sand. It is a symbol of one of the Ogier brand's four distinctive terroirs. This Châteauneuf-du-Pape is made up of 90% Grenache and fermented for 4 weeks before being matured for 12 months in 12-year-old tapered oak vats.

Its hue is vivid, red, to the naked eye. Its nose is silky and fragrant, with a dominance of ripe fruits like blackberry or blackcurrant buds. On the palate, it's exquisite and refined, with excellent tannins, rich fruit aromas, and a long, silky finish.
