This is truly special. One batch a year is produced, 224 bottles only. The first batch was produced for the birth of founder Bildo Saravia's daughter, Luciana, a future Mezcalera herself. Made from Cenizo, a second distillation with seasonal fruits and wild venison hung in the still. Very, very limited and very, very special.
There is a killer combination of ripe tropical fruit, and botanicals like spice, juniper and angelica, which accents the very subtle gamey note. The palate is a lot to unpack, and the spice and fruit sing in this, but it's so packed with complexity, it's hard to pick it all apart at once. It's an absolute joy to drink, and each time I go back i get pulled on a different tangent of flavours. Get it while you can.
