Quinta das Carvalhas 'Memories' Very Old Tawny Port

The story of this port wine begins with the vintage of 1867 in Quinta das Carvalhas, one of the most important wine regions in the Douro Valley, which has gained fame not only for its beautiful scenery but also for its first-class vineyards. This port wine is reminiscent of a lively memory of the 19th century, carefully protected against the tooth of time. Initially rested in the cellars of the famous Miguel Sousa Guedes and in the 20th century, after the registration of Real Companhia Velha in the Commercial Register handed over to the care of the next generation of cellar masters.

This exclusive port is made of vintage 1867 and a small piece of vintage 1900 kept under the same conditions that was added to revitalize the taste. It matured for 149 years in the original oak barrels in the archive cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia and waited for the moment to reach a perfect, exclusively full bouquet and an exceptional, delicious taste on the palate. The result is a fresh and robust expression.
