The inviting, subtle violet hue, suggestive of a mild and berry-like flavour profile, leads to a nose of sweet cherry with sandalwood undertones. The aroma leads to a powerfully smoky finish on the palate. It would be difficult to find a light to medium bodied red wine that is easier to combine with food. A few prospective partners include fresh salmon, trout, roast chicken, duck, vegetarian casseroles, and salads.
