Product description

Almost mythical, except for those in-the-know, his fans ... very much including us ... collect it and know that when you catch a bottle of Thomas at the right time, it delivers the most memorable Oregon Pinot Noir.

The Thomas Winery is a one man show. John Thomas tends the vineyard, makes the wine and answers the phones.

One of the most collectible Pinot Noirs made in all of Oregon is from a winery you may never have heard of. Located in Carlton, Oregon, winemaker John Thomas has been releasing small amounts of wine from the Thomas Vineyard since 1988. It truly is an undiscovered gem.

A mosaic of Pinot Noir from their estate, this wine is a mix of all their Pinot Noir clones. It saw mostly whole berry, and primarily native yeast fermentation before aging primarily in neutral French oak for almost a year. Notes of dark red fruit, cola, and earth are met with layers of complexity ... a classic representation of the Dundee Hills.
