Castello Romitorio Chianti Colli Senesi 2017

Chianti Colli Senesi is a celebrated example of traditional Tuscan winemaking. It's a Sangiovese with a distinct personality, expressing the refinement of grapes grown in the hills surrounding Siena. The rolling Colli Senesi (Siena Hills) is a patchwork of small medieval villages, farmland, vineyards, and olive orchards, and are known for their rivers and thick oak woodlands. The Chianti Colli Senesi appellation encompasses a large region of cool-climate southern Tuscany that has remained remarkably unspoiled for centuries.

This Sangiovese has notes of raspberry, black cherry, and leather.  Strong earthy tones, including sweet redcurrants and raspberry fruits, blend well with mouth-drying gritty tannins on the finish. As the wine's components come together, a synergy of flavours and textures emerges, perfectly complementing even the most savoury dishes.
