Cedar Creek Estate Winery
Nestled on the slopes of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, CedarCreek Winery is one of Canada's pioneering estate wineries. Established in 1986, it played a vital role in transforming the region into a world-class wine destination. CedarCreek has remained steadfast in its commitment to producing premium wines that reflect the unique terroir of the North Okanagan, with vineyards stretching across diverse microclimates from Lake Country to Osoyoos. The winery was acquired by the von Mandl family in 2014, bringing it under the same visionary leadership as Mission Hill Family Estate, yet allowing CedarCreek to maintain its distinct identity rooted in organic farming and minimalist winemaking.
With a strong focus on sustainability, CedarCreek has transitioned to organic viticulture, believing that healthy vines produce the most expressive wines. Winemaker Taylor Whelan leads the charge, emphasizing purity, balance, and elegance across their portfolio. From crisp, aromatic Rieslings and Chardonnay to structured Pinot Noirs and Syrahs, CedarCreek’s wines offer a vivid expression of the Okanagan's potential. The winery’s flagship ‘Aspect’ collection—sourced from some of its highest-elevation vineyards—is a testament to its ambition and precision.
Among its most notable vintages are the cool-climate 2014 and 2016 Pinot Noirs, which earned national acclaim, and the 2020 Aspect Chardonnay, which highlighted the brilliance of organic vineyard practices. Through decades of innovation and stewardship, CedarCreek has solidified its place as a cornerstone of Canadian winemaking, with a legacy built on respect for the land, the vines, and the craft.
