Product description

Domaine Drouhin Oregon, established in 1987 by the Drouhin family of Burgundy, France, is situated in the Dundee Hills of Oregon's Willamette Valley. The estate is renowned for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and crafting wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Laurène is a selection of the finest estate barrels, named after Véronique Drouhin's daughter, Laurène. This vintage presents a medium ruby color with a blue core and lighter purple rim. On the nose, it offers expressive aromas of dried rose petals, elderberry, tart cherries, spiced vanilla, rhubarb, and wild herbs. The palate is medium-bodied, showcasing flavors of dark cherries, candied orange, clove, and a subtle hint of toasted oak, leading to a richly complex and layered experience.

Optimal Drinking Window: The 2022 Laurène is approachable upon release and is expected to develop further complexity over the next 10 to 12 years, with an aging potential of up to 15 years.

Food Pairing Suggestions: This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted duck, grilled salmon, or mushroom risotto, enhancing the wine's depth and complexity.
