Product description

Bodega Chacra's 'Lunita' Pinot Noir 2023 hails from the Río Negro Valley in Patagonia, Argentina. Established in 2004 by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta, a member of the family behind Italy's renowned Sassicaia, Bodega Chacra is dedicated to producing wines that authentically express their terroir. The 'Lunita' vineyard, planted in 1945, spans just 1.5 hectares and consists of ungrafted vines that have been meticulously revitalized over the past 13 years.

This Pinot Noir displays an incredibly perfumed bouquet with notes of violets and white flowers, complemented by raspberry, cherry, and strawberry flavors. Hints of sliced lemon rind, mineral nuances, and fine wet sand undertones add complexity. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with fine tannins that provide a beautiful, rather endless finish.

The 2023 vintage has garnered significant acclaim, with James Suckling awarding it 98 points, praising it as the best 'Lunita' ever.

This wine pairs wonderfully with dishes such as roast duck, grilled salmon, or mushroom risotto. These pairings highlight the wine’s depth and character, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
