Poderi Aldo Conterno Barolo Bussia Romirasco 2014

Product description

95 Points - Decanter     The nose is dense, brooding and spicy, with splendid fruit expression. Rich and suave, this is admirably concentrated in the mouth, with amazing vividness of bright red fruits and cherries lasting from attack to finish. Very long. Drinking Window 2021-2042.

94 Points - James Suckling     Plums and cherries with hint of cinnamon and dried flowers. Sandalwood, too. Medium-bodied, tight and focused. Chewy yet so focused and serious. Solid for the vintage. Drink in 2021.

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate     The 2014 Barolo Bussia Romirasco shows the merits of strict fruit selection in a challenging vintage. Only 4,620 bottles were made in order to preserve the highest quality obtainable. This is a complete and generous expression that starts off with a succession of black fruit aromas and continues to lighter notes of anise seed, tar, licorice and blue violet. The mouthfeel offers volume and texture with nicely integrated tannins. "In order to get this quality, fruit selection was key," says Giacomo Conterno.
