Product description
Founded in 1843 in Reims, the House of Krug has remained a benchmark in prestige Champagne through six generations of the Krug family. Known for its uncompromising commitment to quality, Krug creates wines that transcend the limitations of individual vintages, with Grande Cuvée being its ultimate expression.
This 172ème Édition is composed of 146 wines from 11 different years, with the youngest from 2016 and the oldest dating back to 1998. The blend consists of 44% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay, and 20% Meunier. In the glass, it reveals a brilliant golden hue with fine, persistent bubbles. Aromas of white flowers, citrus peel, marzipan, and lightly toasted brioche rise elegantly. On the palate, the wine is layered and expressive, offering flavours of hazelnut, nougat, apple tart, and subtle spices, supported by vibrant acidity and a long, silky finish. This cuvée is both powerful and refined, showcasing remarkable balance and complexity.
