Donnafugata Nero da'Avola 'Sherazade' 2023

Hailing from Sicily, Italy, Donnafugata's 'Sherazade' is a testament to the island's rich winemaking heritage. Established by the Rallo family, Donnafugata is renowned for producing wines that reflect the diverse terroirs of Sicily, combining tradition with innovation to craft wines of exceptional character.

Wine Description

The 2023 'Sherazade' presents a bright ruby red hue with violet reflections. On the nose, it offers a vibrant bouquet of raspberry and cherry, complemented by delicate spicy and balsamic notes. The palate is smooth and fruity, with caressing tannins and excellent freshness, culminating in a fragrant and pleasant finish.

Crafted exclusively from Nero d'Avola grapes, this wine underwent fermentation in stainless steel with maceration on the skins for about 6–8 days at 24–25°C. Following malolactic fermentation, it matured for approximately 4 months in tanks and at least 5 months in the bottle.
