Gewurz is translated into Dutch as herbs, and that this name was specifically chosen for this wine is no surprise. The wine is known to be very aromatic and expressive.
Traditionally the Gewurztraminer is served as an aperitif or to accompany strong cheeses. But with its nose of peach, delicate roses and sweet spices and pronounced aromas of exotic fruits, this organic wine will also go beautifully with foie gras or dishes from around the world. Its fresh, well-balanced, not heavy or excessively sugary palate, offers a finely scented Gewurztraminer.
This Gewurztraminer comes from various slopes around the village of Bergheim. The soil here consists of clay and limestone.
