Product description
Bodega Chacra, founded in 2004 by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta, is located in the Río Negro Valley of Patagonia, Argentina. Piero, the grandson of Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta—creator of the renowned Sassicaia—set out to craft wines that reflect the purity and elegance of Patagonia’s unique terroir. The estate follows organic and biodynamic farming principles, working with ungrafted old vines to produce expressive and site-driven Pinot Noir.
Wine Description
The 2023 'Cincuenta y Cinco' Pinot Noir is sourced from vineyards planted in 1955 on pebble-rich riverbed soils. This wine presents a radiant ruby hue. The nose offers a vibrant bouquet of orange peel, orange blossom, cherries, and subtle rose stem. On the palate, it is sleek and racy, with fine, silky tannins and a long, energetic finish. Fermented whole cluster at low temperatures to enhance floral aromatics, the wine is aged for 11 months—50% in concrete tanks and 50% in second, third, and fourth-use French oak barrels.

Food Pairing
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted duck, grilled salmon, or mushroom risotto. These pairings highlight the wine’s depth and character, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
Vintage Quality
The 2023 vintage in Patagonia saw some rainfall at the beginning of the harvest, resulting in wines that are lighter, elegant, and forward in style. Despite these conditions, 'Cincuenta y Cinco' maintains vibrant color, showcasing plum and black cherry flavors, delicate aromatic spices from 50% added stems, and a juicy, refreshing finish.
