Amiral de Beychevelle is the second wine of Chateau Beychevelle, one of the more popular third growths in the 1855 Bordeaux classification. This dense ruby/purple wine displays meaty, crushed rock minerality, strong and powerful flavors and depth. This is an impressive second wine, built for serious aging of up to 10-15 years. Blend: 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot. Ageing: 18 months in oak barrels, renewed for 50% every year.

It can be kept for up to fifteen years, depending on the vintage.x
