Armand Heitz Julienas 2019 - 1.5 Litre Bottle

Product description
This wine is a brilliant example of what the very best and most established winemakers are doing in Beaujolais currently and reflects what exciting wines can be found in the area. 2019 is the second vintage of Armand Heitz’ Julienas, a Beaujolais made in traditional Burgundian method. 100% whole cluster with no new oak and very little pumping over. Old school Burgundian mixed cherries with an old barrel smell. This is a nice ‘hybrid’ between flashy Beaujolais and old-school Burgundy.

This Gamay does not disappoint. It is all red and dark cherries, balanced acidity, silky tannins and some earthy notes. As well as looking at the up-and-coming parts of Burgundy like Cote Chalonnaise, Beaujolais is such an exciting area currently within the Burgundy ecosystem.
