Product description

Established in 1875 by brothers Jacob and Frederick Beringer, this winery is the first and only to win auspicious Wine of the Year honours for both a red and a white wine.

Always highly rated by critics, this Cabernet serves up smoky cassis character and finely chiseled structure. Expect it to impress over the next two decades, particularly with steak dinner.

92 Points - Natalie MacLean    From Napa Valley, California, Beringer 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich and full-bodied California Cab blend with splashes of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Zinfandel. Dense and smooth with ripe cassis, smoky, spicy blackberry fruit, vibrant with food-friendly acidity finishing concentrated and long on the palate. Tannins are fine and structured. Beringer was established in 1875 by brothers Jacob and Frederick Beringer.

89 Points - Vinous    The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a tasty entry-level Cabernet from Beringer. In 2015, most of the fruit was sourced from valley floor vineyards, a decision made with the goal of creating a more approachable style than that of the past, when the Napa Valley Cabernet was a blend of essentially all the Beringer ranches. Dark, super-ripe and plush, the Cabernet is loaded with crème de cassis, blueberry jam, spice, vanillin, menthol and sweet French oak flavors. Drink it over the next decade or so.
