Product description
Bruno Rocca Barbaresco 'Rabajà' 2020 originates from Italy, within the Piedmont region and the Barbaresco DOCG subregion. Founded in 1978 when Bruno Rocca chose to estate-bottle his family's grapes, the estate relies on fruit from Rabajà—one of Barbaresco's most celebrated and historic cru vineyards, acquired by the family in 1958. Today managed alongside his children Luisa and Francesco, the winery practices sustainable and organic viticulture with minimal intervention, crafting deeply mineral-driven wines that honor the blue-grey marl and limestone soils of Rabajà.
Wine Description
This red wine displays a translucent, deep garnet hue with bright ruby reflections. The nose is lifted, complex, and intensely aromatic, opening with scents of fresh rose petals, wild raspberry, dark cherry, and blood orange, layered with nuances of crushed stone minerality, leather, tobacco, and sweet baking spice. On the palate, it exhibits a medium-to-full body with a multidimensional, seamless texture supported by fine-grained, firm tannins and energetic acidity. Stylistically, the 2020 vintage combines warm-vintage fruit richness with clarity, elegance, and precision, finishing long with lingering notes of licorice root, red fruit compote, and savory dried herbs.
Varietal composition: 100% Nebbiolo
