Cazadores Extra Anejo Tequila
Product description
Tasting Notes
Cazadores uses 100% agave for their tequila from agaves sourced from the Highlands of Jalisco. Their extra añejo is aged for 3 years in virgin American oak barrels after stainless steel double-fermentation. Cazadores, meaning “hunters” is so named because their founder’s grandfather, José María Bañuelos used to love to watch the deer run among the agave fields.
Hints of big dusty oak and vanilla custard greet you as you bring this tequila to your nose. Baked green apple dusted with cinnamon, salted caramel, and rich roasted agave round out the aroma. The flavours are both sweet and spicy with caramel and vanilla flavours mingling with a cacophony of baking spices. Cooked orchard fruit, and crème brûlée with hints of spicy Mexican dark chocolate are also present. This would make a nightcap with just enough heat and balance to keep it interesting as the evening is winding down.
