Product description
Cazadores Reposado Tequila is a historic, widely popular aged spirit originating from Arandas in the Highlands (Los Altos) region of Jalisco, Mexico. Originally created in 1922 by Don José María Bañuelos, the brand name "Cazadores" translates to "Hunters," honoring the highland deer that roamed the agave fields during its creation. Produced under Bacardi at the Tequila Cazadores de Arandas distillery (NOM 1487), the expression is celebrated globally as an accessible, high-value staple for both casual sipping and cocktail crafting.
Spirit Description
Cazadores Reposado is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the red, iron-rich soil of the Jalisco Highlands. The agaves are cooked, fermented while playing classical music (a long-standing tradition at the distillery intended to soothe the yeast), and double-distilled in copper pot stills. The tequila rests for up to 12 months in small, virgin American oak barrels, which imparts a vibrant balance of fresh wood and agave sweetness.
Colour: Pale gold to light amber with bright straw highlights.
Aroma: Inviting and sweet, opening with cooked agave, toasted oak, and vanilla bean, complemented by light citrus zest, melon, and floral notes.
Palate: Smooth, approachably dry, and spice-forward. Upfront flavors of roasted agave, light caramel, and sweet vanilla give way to subtle tropical fruit, cracked black pepper, and faint herbal dill.
Body: Medium-bodied with a soft, clean, and velvety texture.
Finish: Crisp, warm, and medium in length, tapering off with lingering oak spice, light pepper, and soft vanilla.
ABV: Bottled at 40% (80 Proof).
