Product description
Château Palmer, a prestigious estate in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, France, has a rich history dating back to the early 19th century. Renowned for its innovative approach, the estate pays homage to 19th-century Bordeaux winemaking traditions with its 'Historical XIXth Century Blend.'
Description: The 'Historical XIXth Century Blend' is a unique cuvée that combines Bordeaux varietals with a touch of Syrah from the Northern Rhône, reviving a 19th-century practice known as "hermitaging." The 2020 release, labeled as Lot 20.20, comprises 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Petit Verdot, and 12% Syrah. This blend results in a wine with a deep, inky color and a complex aromatic profile featuring notes of black truffle, dark berries, and subtle spice. On the palate, it offers a velvety texture, precise tannins, and a harmonious balance between the richness of Bordeaux and the spiciness of Syrah.
Tasting Notes:
