Product description

Código 1530 Blanco Tequila is a high-end, unaged artisanal spirit originating from Amatitán in the Valles (Lowlands) region of Jalisco, Mexico. Produced at the VNS distillery (NOM 1605), the brand was created by Ron Snyder, Federico "Fede" Vaughan, and country music icon George Strait. For generations, the liquid was produced solely as an unlabeled private batch ("El Tequila Privado") for a select group of Mexican families and friends in Los Bajos before commercially launching as Código 1530—named in honor of the year Amatitán was officially recognized as a city with a royal coat of arms.

Spirit Description

Código 1530 Blanco is crafted from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agaves harvested after maturing for at least seven years in the mineral-rich volcanic soil of the Jalisco Lowlands. The agaves are cooked in low-pressure stainless steel autoclaves and extracted using a roller mill. Fermentation takes place in open-air stainless steel tanks utilizing an organic family baker's yeast from Amatitán. Double-distilled in custom handmade copper-lined pot stills and blended with fresh well water, the spirit is bottled unrested without ever touching wood to preserve its raw agave core.

  • Colour: Crystal clear, bright, and luminescent with dense silver flashes in the glass.

  • Aroma: Clean, floral, and deeply herbaceous. The nose opens with fresh raw agave, crisp mint, lemongrass, and bright citrus peel (lemon and lime), backed by earthy minerality and a soft hint of blossom sweetness.

  • Palate: Crisp, balanced, and expressive on the entry. Upfront flavors of sweet roasted agave, citrus zest, and spearmint give way to a structured mid-palate driven by wet stone minerality, crushed herbs, and fresh green pepper.

  • Body: Medium-bodied with a light, silky, and clean viscosity that glides smoothly across the tongue.

  • Finish: Crisp, dry, and invigorating, tapering off with lingering notes of cracked black pepper, bright citrus peel, and gentle agave sweetness.

  • ABV: Bottled at 40% (80 Proof).
