Domaine Dujac Clos Saint Denis Grand Cru 2021

Product description

Louis Seysses, biscuit manufacturer and gastronome, had a taste for good food and fine wines. His son Jacques Seysses quickly came to share his father's passion, and he decided he would not only like to drink the wine but make it as well.

Possibly Jacques' greatest contribution to the Domaine has been to instill his desire to search for new ways to improve the wine and the way wine is made. Though his vinification style looks relatively simple and non interventionist, it is result of much thought and experimentation. The style of wines must be elegance and finesse, with supple and well integrated tannins. The search is for equilibrium, harmony, length and complexity!

Made from Pinot Noir grapes frown on clay and limestone soils. Fermented in stainless steel tanks, using naturally occurring yeast. The vines have been organically farmed since 2001.

Upon opening, this wine is characterized by lavish fruit but has the capability of aging quite well.

94+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The 2021 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru is brilliant, wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, summer fruit compote, sweet spices, licorice, peony and coniferous forest floor. Full-bodied, ample and layered, it's fleshy and textural, its satiny attack segueing into a deep, seamless mid-palate and a perfumed, penetrating finish.
