Francisco Jose Fernandez Perez “Don Pancho” was born in Cuba more than 76 years ago. 50 of those years were dedicated to learn, research, develop, and make rum. After establishing in Panama where he found love and the perfect condition to grow the sugarcane the way it was done in his homeland, he started to produce small batches of aguardiente that later became the Carta Blanca and eventually his aged reserves.
On the nose, praline with hints of chocolate cake and some coffee liqueur. Roasted hazelnuts. Delicate oak spices in the background. Tastes sweet and deep with chocolate, caramelized nuts and coffee, with a heavy dose of caramel syrup and apple pie. Long lasting, sweet, like chocolate-coffee liqueur.
