The Egly-Ouriet House is discreet but prestigious and gifts us with its Vrigny Premier Cru located on the Montagne de Reims, west from the champagne region’s capital. The soil is calcareous and light and the old Pinot Meunier plants fit perfectly there.The vinification of this splendid Premier Cru takes place in part in wooden casks (in barrels aged 1 to 5 years), based on the best first presses.The nose is expressive with notes of dried fruits.The palate is smooth, vinous, spicy with a great lingering finish.
