Product description

Fernie Brewing Co. is a family-owned and operated craft brewery nestled in the Rocky Mountain town of Fernie, BC. The brewery's history dates back to 2003 when the Pask family, long-time Fernie residents, launched the company and initially set up the brewery in their family barn. The brewing philosophy focuses on not taking shortcuts, using premium two-row barley malt and European hops, and allowing their ales to age to perfection, using no fillers, adjuncts, or preservatives. Their beers are born and brewed in the mountains and inspired by the adventure and outdoor enthusiast culture of the region.

Beer Description:

  • Colour: The beer has a deep colour and a vibrant hue, which is ensured by the addition of huckleberries post-fermentation. It pours a pale raspberry colour.

  • Aroma: It presents a fruity, berry-forward aroma with subtle wheat undertones. There is a gentle strawberry on the nose.

  • Palate: The palate is described as smooth and creamy, blended with wheat. It offers a light sweetness from the huckleberries, which is balanced by the wheat base.

  • Body and Finish: The beer is light-bodied and offers a subtly tart finish from the berries.

  • Stylistic Notes: It is a smooth, creamy, and refreshing ale. The beer has a fuller flavour than a typical wheat beer.

  • ABV: The ABV (Alcohol By Volume) is 5.0%.
