Hundred Acre Cabernet Sauvignon Morgan's Way 2019
Product description
Hundred Acre is one of those estates, where if you are in the know then you know. The quality of the wines made here is almost impossible to describe without using words like ethereal, sublime, and perfection. These highly coveted bottles regularly flirt with perfection. In fact, the Kayli Morgan bottling has only ever scored outside of the 90s six times in its history, and those all received 100 points. There is only so much praise one place can receive, Hundred Acre no longer pursues critical ratings. With more than twenty perfect 100-Point Scores from Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate, Hundred Acre Cabernets are among the highest level of wines produced worldwide.
The Kayli Morgan Vineyard is located just north of Saint Helena, California at the base of Howell Mountain. The soils are a dark clay; holding moisture to keep the vines cool. As summer progresses, the ground forms micro-cracks, allowing the roots to seek water deeper and deeper into the earth; as they do, they pick up minerals that give Kayli Morgan its distinctive characteristics. Kayli Morgan is a single estate vineyard and 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Silky tannins and an inky blue-purple color, it opens with the most beautiful red rose and lilac scents with red and black cherry compote and hints of cinnamon stick, earth, stewed tea, cigar box, and forestfloor. The palate is full-bodied, rich, and seductive with incredibly perfumed fruit and a satiny texture, finishing very long. This is a concentrated, well-balanced wine, with terrific fruit intensity and palate presence. It is fat, it is opulent, it is delicious.
