This cuvée comes from two Morgon plots, one of which is on the famed Côte du Py. After sorting and destemming, the grapes are macerated for four weeks before being aged in concrete vats for ten months. Only a minor amount of sulphur is added to the wine after it is softly filtered and bottled. The scents of fresh sod and leather, as well as brambly raspberry and molasses, are all present in this lusciously black gamay. A lengthy, savoury finish follows a pleasant lift on the palate. Vegan wine made from sustainably produced, low-intervention/natural grapes.
