Lewis Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2016

In 1992 Debbie and Randy Lewis established a small family winery in Napa Valley and were later joined by their son Dennis in 1999. Total production is approximately 9,000 cases annually of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

They are literally hands-on in every aspect of vineyard management, winemaking, sales and distribution, and they thrive on this challenge and the relationships they cultivate in the process. It is their continuing goal to create world-class wines.

There is distinct power and complexity to our 2016 Reserve Cabernet. Navy blue-black yet brilliant in colour the wine is front-loaded with ripe fruit of crushed currants and berries. Secondary notes bring mineral and earth aromas laced with sweet anise and oak spice. Packed with fruit on entry, a dusky, sinewy character develops on the palate with fine-grained tannins tailing to the finish.

93 Points Wine Spectator...Alluring boysenberry, plum and blueberry flavours are seamlessly layered, picking up hints of mulled spice, melted liquorice and ganache along the way. The ample grip is well-embedded, letting the fruit sing longest on the finish. Drink now through 2029.
