The grapes for Lodali's Barbaresco come from the Rocche dei Sette Fratelli vineyard located in the southern part of the municipality of Treiso, which itself is south of the town of Barbaresco. The most spectacular example of the whole Langa is that of the Rocche dei Sette Fratelli. The altitude is ideal for the cultivation of the vine, between 150 and 450 meters above sea level, with the prevalence of the range between 250 and 400 meters Nebbiolo. Here, the soils are formed by Marne di Sant'Agata Fossili (Tortoniano), bluish limestone marl, and are more compact and produce complex, structured and weather-resistant wines.
The 2017 Barbaresco has an elegant nose with hints of violets, licorice and fall foliage. The taste is rich and harmonious with dark berry fruit and cherry, and elegantly balanced tannins.
