Beautiful hazy coral color, with aromatic notes of dried herbs, fresh pink grapefruit and pomegranate. Medium tannins and excellent minerality on the palate.
60% fermented on the skins for 17 days until dry, 10% carbonic for 17 days, 30% direct pressed. Aged 8 months in neutral oak. Only 299 cases produced.
Johan Vineyards is located directly at the mouth of the Van Duzer Corridor. The Van Duzer Corridor is one of the only east to west running “gaps” in the Oregon Coast Range. This gap is the reason that the Willamette Valley is able to grow cool climate grape varieties.
