Ogier Chateauneuf du Pape Gres Rouge 2015

Product description

The vines are planted in red sandstone/clay soil full of iron-rich concretions that are found in a diverse mixture of sands, gravels, and different pebbles. They are rich in shells of all kinds, as a result of marine sedimentation. It's a unique soil in that it retains water well to generously nurture the vines while draining well; an indication of exceptional terroir.

Deep red colour. The nose is expressive with prominent red fruits and dark chocolate notes. Pepper, sandalwood, and graphite are among the scents. The palate reveals a direct and fresh approach with notes of fruit, spice, and chocolate. Structured tannins.
