Pago Casa Gran Falcata Arenal Tinto 2015

Product description

A bold, rich, deep blend of Garnacha Tintorera and Monastrell from Spain's Valencia region, this delivers plenty of power and spice balanced by firm tannins and unexpected freshness. This wine is made with the grapes from the oldest vineyards from 60-year-old vines in 100% sandy soil.

93 Points - James Suckling    Roses, blueberries and bright, ripe red berries, together with some very succulent tannins make for an engaging and very drinkable medium-bodied red. Freshness and depth. Drink or hold.

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast    Ripe berry and black-plum aromas come with a hint of bacon. This blend of Garnacha Tintorera and Monastrell is dense, ripe and layered on the palate. Black fruit flavors are well toasted, while this shows notes of chocolate and black olive in addition to residual fruit on an exceedingly long finish. Drink through 2024.
