Product description

This is a wine of great class, appreciated by enthusiasts for its majestic style and complexity. A deep red in color, it has an expansive bouquet with aromas of blackberries, cherries and violets. On the palate it displays spicy tones reminiscent of chocolate and freshly roasted coffee, as well as vanilla notes from its long maturation in wood. The mouthfeel is velvety and well-balanced with gentle tannins and a long finish. Blend: 65% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, 5% Corvinone.

93 Points - Decanter    Refined wild berry, pepper and blackberry nose. The palate brings ripe tannins and well-integrated oak; very classy wine.

92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate    The Pasqua 2016 Amarone della Valpolicella Famiglia Pasqua is 65% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, 5% Corvinone and 5% Negrara, all aged in a combination of barrique and tonneaux. The wine shows dark fruit, plum and dried cherry with ample spice, tar and licorice. This is a fresh and medium-bodied Amarone with a more accessible style for informal family dinners by the fireplace.

91 Points - James Suckling    Broad aromas of blackcurrants, fresh tar and dried, slightly bitter herbs, such as bay leaf. Not heavy at all on the palate for this category, with fine and firm, fruit-coated tannins and a long finish. Drink or hold.
