90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Mario Bollag's Terralsole has created a pretty wine in this warm vintage. The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino opens to a medium dark garnet color and shows immediate aromatic intensity with slightly savory tones of spice, leather and cured tobacco. There is a good amount of primary fruit as well, although it is on the darker side of the spectrum with plum and blackberry. Despite that slightly more robust first impression, the wine is silky and polished in texture. The 15% alcohol contributes to a greater sense of length and power on the finish.
