Cantina Valpantena, which was established in 1958 as a cooperative association of Veronese winemakers, today includes around 250 farms that grow over 750 hectares of vineyards, more than 30 of which are organic. The benefits to small growers of using this age-old cooperative winemaking method are almost incalculable. Wine journals from throughout the world frequently give Cantina Valpantena rave reviews.
A blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara, this wine sits a deep dark shade of a purple-ruby in the glass. On the nose, it evokes aromas of dried dark fruits and unsmoked cigars. The palate is intensely rich and decadent - a wine that will age beautifully.
