Gran Centenario Reposado Tequila is a 100% blue agave spirit crafted in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The brand traces its origins to 1857, when Lázaro Gallardo, considered the first Maestro Tequilero, pioneered a method of tequila-making. The house uses a proprietary 'Selección Suave' (soft selection) process, which blends younger rested tequilas with smoother, older reserves, highlighting a winemaking (distilling) philosophy focused on achieving perfect balance and smoothness.
Description
This reposado tequila is rested in new American oak casks, imparting a smooth and balanced character. It provides a touch of fruit on the nose, complemented by light wood notes. On the palate, there are sweet tones of cooked agave, along with subtle hints of vanilla, toasted almonds, oak, and clove. It is a medium bodied, smooth spirit that offers a complexity of oak spice and nutty flavours, including toffee and cinnamon, leading to a long, aromatic, and smooth finish.
