Louis Jadot Corton Pougets Grand Cru 2017

Product description

The House of Louis Jadot has been producing exceptional Burgundy wines since its founding in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. For the past 150 years Louis Jadot has continued as one of the great names of Burgundy and has gained international reputation for its superb red and white Burgundy wines.

This powerfully structured, rich-fruited wine offers deep, layered berry and oak aromas and flavors, and a persistent finish. It should be held for 5 years in bottle before being opened, and will develop for 15 to 20 years in the cellar. Serve with roasts or highly seasoned meats, game and most cheeses.

94 Points - Wine Spectator

Marked by kirsch, spice and underbrush notes, this red is intense and solidly built, with concentrated cherry and berry fruit. Juicy midpalate, leading to long, chalky finish.

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The 2017 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru (Domaine des Heritiers Jadot) is showing brilliantly from bottle, wafting from the glass with an inviting bouquet of cherries, raspberries and red plums, mingled with notes of orange rind, sweet spices and flowers. On the palate, it's full-bodied, supple and enveloping, with velvety tannins, excellent depth at the core, succulent acids and a perfumed finish.
