Product description
Introduction
Pendleton '1910' 12 Year Old Rye is a rare 100% rye whisky from the country of Canada. While it is distilled and aged in Canada, it is imported and bottled by Hood River Distillers in Oregon, which is owned by the Mexican beverage conglomerate Becle, S.A.B. de C.V.. The spirit is named in honour of the inaugural year of the Pendleton Round Up, a legendary outdoor rodeo held in Oregon for over a century.
Spirit Description
The sensory profile of this super premium rye is shaped by a minimum of 12 years of oak barrel aging and finishing with glacier fed spring water from Mt. Hood.
Colour: This whisky displays a golden amber hue.
Aroma: The nose is well rounded and full bodied, offering notes of nutmeg, cloves, and maple, with hints of dried pineapple and sweet vanilla.
Palate: It features a complex and weighty flavour profile with rich notes of tobacco, charred oak, and butterscotch alongside a spicy rye kick. Muted tropical notes, apples, and dried cherries are balanced by nutty toffee undertones and the smoothness of maple.
Body: The spirit is described as having a lively, medium body with a rich and oily texture.
Finish: It concludes with a medium dry finish that is tingling and complex, displaying lingering accents of tart cherry, wood spice, and a smooth maple exit.
ABV: This rye is bottled at 40%.
