AR Guentota Malbec 2019

This premium wine is crafted by Belasco de Baquedano, a winery that is part of the Spanish group La Navarra, which began its operations in 1831. The Belasco family, led by Juan Ignacio Belasco, initiated this ambitious Argentine project in the early 2000s, focusing exclusively on Malbec. Their winemaking philosophy centres on maximizing the exceptional qualities of Malbec from their very old, high-altitude vineyards.

Wine Description

The AR Guentota Malbec displays a deep ruby red colour with bright purple tones. The wine offers an intense and complex bouquet with notes of wild berries and ripe red fruit along with hints of resiny oak and cedar from barrel ageing. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with flavours of ripe red plums, currants, and berries. This Malbec presents soft, smooth-honed tannins, a velvety mouthfeel, and is well balanced. It finishes with an elegant, persistent, and dry long finish.
