Product description

Bodega Catena Zapata, one of Argentina’s most esteemed wineries, was founded in 1902 and remains family-owned, currently led by Dr. Laura Catena. The Adrianna Vineyard, located at nearly 1,500 metres in the Gualtallary subregion, is often referred to as the Grand Cru of South America, thanks to its exceptional terroir and meticulous vineyard mapping. The ‘White Stones’ parcel is named after the white oval stones in the soil, which influence both water drainage and vine stress, resulting in remarkable expression.

This Chardonnay presents a luminous pale gold colour. Aromas are pure and lifted, offering white flowers, green apple, lime zest, and a mineral edge reminiscent of wet stones. On the palate, it is medium-bodied yet intensely focused, displaying layered flavours of citrus, pear, and subtle hazelnut, underpinned by vivid acidity and a saline thread. The texture is chalky and elegant, leading to a long, refined finish.
