Wine Description
This is a dry rosé wine made from 100% Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir). It is a powerful, yet playful, rosé, deriving its character from the steep slate slopes of the Mosel. The sensory profile includes aromas of red cherry, orange, grapefruit, spice, and hints of rosemary and thyme. On the palate, it is dry with light tannins that add body and character. Subtle red fruit, orange, and fresh herbs accompany a long finish. Stylistically, it is noted for its intensity in a lean structure, being taut and tightly built with a juicy, punchy character. The wine can be enjoyed immediately but also shows potential for graceful aging. The winemaking involves a short period of maceration on the skins, followed by spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks with minimal intervention.
