Product description
Erdinger Oktoberfest originates from the town of Erding in Upper Bavaria, Germany. The brewery, ERDINGER Weißbräu, was founded in 1886 and has remained a private family-owned institution since Franz Brombach purchased it in 1935. Today, the winery is led by his son, Werner Brombach, whose unwavering winemaking philosophy emphasizes traditional brewing skills, the Bavarian Purity Law, and the unique 'Bayerische Edelreifung' or double maturity method.
Beer Description
This festive wheat beer presents an intensive golden yellow colour with a fine, natural cloudiness and a compact white froth. The aromatic profile is fresh and radiant, featuring delicate notes of hops, yeast, and soft wheat alongside traditional hints of banana and clove. On the palate, it offers a strong, perfectly rounded body with a harmonious balance of smooth malt sweetness and a pronounced yet elegant hop bitterness. The beer is refreshingly lively due to its sparkling carbonic acid, leading to a supple and full bodied finish.
Food Pairing
Erdinger Oktoberfest is a versatile companion to traditional Bavarian cuisine, pairing exceptionally well with grilled bratwurst, salty pretzels, and roast chicken. Its malt sweetness and spicy yeast notes also complement richer dishes like pork knuckle or tangy cheeses such as Feta and Edam. For a sweet conclusion, it serves as an excellent partner to a classic apple strudel.
